Heavy-Timber Log Cabin Material Preparation Report

This report confirms the completion of material preparation for the heavy-timber log cabin project in a mountain resort. The project requires materials that meet structural load-bearing standards, so the main materials prepared include 180 pieces of Douglas fir heavy timbers (specifications: 150mm×250mm, 200mm×300mm) for the frame, 320 square meters of spruce structural plywood for wall and floor sheathing, and 50 liters of water-based anti-corrosion paint (complying with GB/T 27717-2011). All materials are sourced from qualified suppliers with official quality certificates, and the heavy timbers have undergone pre-cutting and polishing to match the project’s design dimensions.
Material quantity and quality checks were conducted before storage. The heavy timbers were verified to have no cracks, decay, or insect damage, with a moisture content of 12%-14% that meets heavy-timber cabin requirements. The structural plywood was inspected for uniform thickness and firm bonding, with no delamination. All materials are now stored in a well-ventilated, moisture-proof warehouse, with heavy timbers placed on 30cm-high brackets to avoid ground contact and moisture absorption.
This material preparation ensures that subsequent construction can proceed without delays. The prepared materials fully align with the project’s design and quality standards, providing a solid foundation for the heavy-timber log cabin’s structural safety and durability.
