This report summarizes the quality inspection results of the custom wooden doors prepared for the suburban villa log cabin project. The doors are made of solid oak (a high-density wood suitable for custom doors due to its durability and stable structure) with a 45mm-thick door panel—consistent with the customer’s custom requirements. The surface is treated with three coats of environment-friendly polyurethane clear varnish, which meets the national environmental protection standard GB 18581-2021《Limits of Harmful Substances in Solvent-Based Wood Coatings》. The inspection was conducted on 12 randomly sampled custom doors on the 5th day after the completion of production.
First, the material and appearance quality were verified. The solid oak used had no defects such as decay, moth-eaten holes, or obvious color differences; the wood grain was clear and evenly distributed, with no artificial grain modification. The door panel’s moisture content was tested to be 11%-13%, which is within the standard range for wooden doors and effectively prevents deformation due to humidity changes. The surface coating was checked for evenness: no bubbles, pinholes, or peeling was found, and the glossiness reached 50±5GU (a common gloss level for medium-gloss custom wooden doors), meeting the design requirements.
Next, the dimensional accuracy and structural performance were inspected. The custom dimensions (2100mm in height, 900mm in width, 120mm in door frame width) had an allowable error of ±1.5mm, and all sampled doors met this requirement; the door leaf and door frame fit closely, with a gap of 2-3mm around (in line with the national standard for wooden door assembly). Finally, functional tests were carried out: the door hinge rotation was flexible, with no jamming during 500 opening-and-closing cycles; the door lock (a custom-configured brass mortise lock) operated smoothly, and the anti-theft and anti-prying performance met the Grade B standard. In conclusion, all inspected indicators of the custom wooden doors meet the project’s quality and custom requirements and are qualified for on-site installation.
