Japanese-Style Log Cabin Completion Report

This report confirms the successful completion of the Japanese-style log cabin project located in the suburban ecological resort of Hangzhou. The construction started on March 15 and was fully completed on August 20, adhering to the traditional Japanese architectural concept of “harmony with nature.” The cabin’s main structure uses cedar logs (known for moisture resistance and natural texture), with internal spaces designed in a minimalist style—including a 25-square-meter tea room with tatami flooring and shoji sliding doors, and a 18-square-meter living area with a wooden fireplace. All construction processes complied with national wooden building standards (GB/T 50708-2012) and Japanese-style log cabin design specifications.

A joint acceptance was conducted by the project supervision unit, design team, and owner on August 25. The inspection covered structural stability, material quality, and functional usability: the cedar log connections were firm with no cracks or deformation, the tatami mats (made of natural rush) had no mildew or odor, and the shoji doors operated smoothly without jamming. The cabin’s waterproof and thermal insulation performance also met the required standards—no water seepage was found in the roof after a 48-hour simulated rain test, and the indoor temperature remained 5-8℃ higher than the outdoor temperature in a 72-hour thermal insulation test.

This Japanese-style log cabin has fully achieved the expected design effect, with its natural wooden texture and minimalist layout reflecting the core of Japanese architectural aesthetics. The completion of the project marks that it is ready for official use, and no follow-up rectification is required. The owner can move in and use the cabin after completing the final handover procedures.
