Heavy-Duty Wall Construction Report

This report summarizes the completion of heavy-duty wall construction for the industrial workshop project in Nanjing. The walls, designed for load-bearing and sound insulation, were built using 150mm-thick reinforced concrete blocks as the base, with a 50mm rock wool insulation layer and 12mm fire-resistant gypsum board on both sides. Construction followed GB 50203-2022《Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Masonry Structures》, starting on September 5 and finishing on September 20—meeting the scheduled timeline with no delays.
During construction, key steps were strictly controlled: concrete blocks were wetted in advance to ensure bonding strength, the insulation layer was installed without gaps to guarantee thermal performance, and gypsum boards were fixed with anti-rust screws spaced 300mm apart. A mid-construction inspection by the supervision unit confirmed that wall verticality error was within ±3mm, and horizontal flatness met standard requirements. No hollowing or cracking was found in the wall surface after masonry.
Post-construction acceptance (conducted on September 22) verified that the heavy-duty walls met design indicators: load-bearing capacity reached 20kN/m², sound insulation performance achieved 45dB, and fire resistance rating met Class A. The walls are now ready for subsequent decoration work, providing a stable structural foundation for the workshop’s overall operation.
